It is with much sadness that I report my porch is in serious trouble and needs a very major facelift. While working with the insurance company to get the roof replaced, they would not consider the flat part over the porch calling in normal wear and tear, though I filed an earthquake claim in 2018 after it had started cracking and was getting leaks. I kept saying it was going to fall down around me. So, last week, when we got that lovely shower, and I posted a video of it on FB, I returned inside, and the house started shaking and Draco ran for the bedroom and then a terrible noise and this is the aftermath. I guess that little rain was just enough extra weight. The great thing is no one was hurt. A couple of mornings before that, I had been right there picking up a plant that had blown over. God is good and this too shall pass!

I have two grown #children, Autumn Abernathy, married and Zachary McCall, single. And there's my #granddaughter, Rhiannon Elizabeth, at #college, in a #sorority and living her own life. I've owned #businesses. I've had the IRS come after me. I've been married twice to abusive men. I've dealt with more #attorneys than I care to think of. I've #traveled. I've loved, I've been #hurt. I'm no different from any of you out there. Only now, I write books and I'm doing this #blog to share stories, hopefully#inspire and give #hope.
